About Maiki-
Life, family, and interests

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Maiki’s journey with craftsmanship began in his mother’s kitchen, where he grew up helping her run a vegan food business. That early passion grew into a high-level culinary career, cooking under some of the top chefs in the country. But when a career shift called, Maiki reconnected with the hands-on building he loved as a kid.The turning point came in 2013 with two major life changes: becoming a father and buying an old Volkswagen bus. Wanting to restore the VW himself, Maiki picked up a welder, took tips from friends and family, and threw himself into mastering the trade. Over a decade later, that self-taught drive has grown into Negron Welding & Metal Fabrication; a service built on precision, creativity, and true craftsmanship.When he’s not behind the welding helmet, you’ll find Maiki cooking epic meals for his loved ones, ripping the mountain bike trails with his family and friends, or finding peace in horticulture and plant care (another passion passed down from his mom). Known for his infectious, upbeat energy, Maiki brings passion, determination, and a strong sense of community to every project and every room he walks into.
